Movie of the day: “Saint-Narcisse” by Bruce LaBruce

Canadian writer, director, photographer and screenwriter, Bruce LaBruce merged in his works indie cinema and gay porn (L.A. Zombie, 2010). His attitude was softened in Gerontophilia (2013), a gay Harold and Maude. Saint-Narcisse plays with paradox.

Canada,1972: Dominic is twenty-two and loves himself, spending time taking selfies. When his grandmother dies, he discovers that his mother did not die giving him birth. She lives in exiles with a much younger woman. He also become aware having a twin brother, Daniel (the two are both played by Félix-Antoine Duval). Daniel lives in a convent and has been raised by a depraved priest. The two brothers and their mother reunite at last: a gathering of sex, revenge and redemption.
