SIC: the edition of women and diversity

International Critic’s Week participated in the «return to life» which, says Delegate General Giona A. Nazzaro, characterized the entire exhibition. But it is a return to life driven by the will for newness, as the palmares demonstrates. «Absolutely in the name of feminine», Nazzaro continues, «and of diversity. Political, aesthetic and, creative». From the alarming situation of contemporary Turkey (told by Azra Deniz Okyay in her Ghosts, Gran Premio della Settimana Internazionale della Critica) to the Donbass war in Bad Roads (by Natalya Vorozhbit, Premio Circolo del Cinema di Verona), passing through the outcasts living in the tunnels of New York undergound (Topside by Celine Held and Logan George, Premio Mario Serandrei-Hotel Saturnia for Best Technical Contribution).

“Bad Roads” by Natalya Vorozhbit

Sic@Sic the shorts competition was particularly focused of youth problems, from bullying (J’Ador by Simone Bozzelli, Best Short Film) to the difficult transition to adulthood (The Flies by Edgardo Pistone, Best Direction). And also Olga Torrico‘s Gas Station stands out, winning Best Technical Contribution.
