AL GARIB (THE STRANGER)

Screenwriter and director Ameer Fakher Eldin was born in 1991 in the former Soviet Union. His parents are Syrian coming from the highlands of Golan occupied by the Israelian army since 1967. After a few awarded short films Eldin makes his feature debut telling the story of Adnan, a man who lives in a small village of Golan and facing a deep personal crisis. He has never been able to finish medical school and he’s incapable to connect with others. When he meets a boy wounded during the Syrian war Adnan understands what his destiny is, even against the traditions of his community. Ameer Fakher Eldin is already working on his second feature Nothing of Nothing Remains.
