Dogborn is Isabella Carbonell’s first feature. The Swedish talent wrote and directed this movie that is in the official competition of the International Critic’s Week. Sic’s Director Beatrice Fiorentino describes Dogborn as «a descent into hell but also the story a chance to rebirth». The story is about two homeless twins trying to survive a humanless society. But how far are they willing to push themselves to have a better life? Carbonell directed a few short movies, among which Boys (2015), selected by Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique and awarded at AFI FEST. Dogborn comes along with Mauro Zingarelli’s Nostos, a dystopian short film running for SIC@SIC competition.
