The International Critic’s Week continues its competition program with Skin Deep (Aus miener Haut) by Alex Schaad, maybe the most extreme movie of the whole selection and the more precise to describe one of the main topics of this year’s SIC, the fluid and mutant identity. Leyla and Tristan are a couple; they travel to a remote island where they will be involved in a game that completely changes them. SIC’s Director Beatrice Fiorentino says the audience will find «atmospheres echoing Midsommar in this psychological-philosophical under the sun, a potential body-horror evolving into an extreme act of love».
