Anhell69 is Theo Montoya’s debut feature (he’s also the producer with his company Desvío Visual). The movie is in competition at the International Critic’s Week and is a story set in the queer community of Medellin, Colombia. But Anhell69 is mostly a reflection about cinema. It starts from the memories of a director who remembers the making of his first feature, a B-ghost movie played by the young LGBTQ+ community of the town. Anhell69, as SIC’s Director Beatrice Fiorentino says, is «a sentimental journey among bodies and ghosts, the description of a violent city without prospective» where «it is possible to dream and desire against all odds». The short movie in competition today is Resti directed by Federico Fadiga.
