Today’s film in competition at the International Critic’s Week is Margini, the first feature by Niccolò Falsetti (he’s also the screenwriter with co-protagonist Francesco Turbanti and Tommaso Renzoni). Falsetti was the Second Unit Director for Diabolik and L’ispettore Coliandro, both directed by Manetti bros., co-producers of this film. Margini is a comedy set in the Tuscan town of Grosseto during the summer of 2008. Edoardo, Iacopo and Michele are the members of an unlucky punk band. The chance to open the gig of a notorious hardcore band in Bologna disappears last minute. Then they decided to bring the band to their place. There’s also a voice cameo of the famous Italian comic artist Zerocalcare.
