"Never Rarely Sometimes Always", "Minari" , "Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom" e "Nomadland" tra i titoli con le maggiori nomination

Nel corso di una presentazione livestream, Barry Jenkins, Olivia Wilde e Laverne Cox hanno annunciato la lista dei candidati di quest’anno ai Film Independent Spirit Awards, i premi assegnati annualmente a sostegno del cinema indipendente.

Come sempre, per essere ammessi agli Spirit Awards, i film devonocavere un budget non superiore ai 22,5 milioni di dollari. Per questo motivo, diversi contendenti agli Oscar di alto profilo come “The Trial of the Chicago 7”, “Da 5 Bloods” e “Mank” non saranno presenti tra i nominati del 2021.

L’edizione di quest’anno degli Independent Spirit Awards si svolgerà giovedì 22 aprile in prima serata e, per la prima volta in 36 anni di storia della premiazione, l’evento non avrà luogo il sabato prima della premiazione degli Oscar.
