I 70esimi Emmy Awards vengono trasmessi in diretta esclusiva su Rai4 e Rai Radio2 nella notte tra lunedì 17 e martedì 18 settembre. Assegnati annualmente dalla Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, i Primetime Emmy Awards sono il più importante riconoscimento, americano e internazionale, alla produzione televisiva. A condurre la settantesima edizione della cerimonia, che si terrà quest’anno al Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles, saranno Colin Jost e Michael Che, famosi autori e comici del popolare varietà di NBC Saturday Night Live.
Per la prima volta da 18 anni a questa parte, a guidare la classifica delle nomination è Netflix con 112 candidature a fronte delle 108 ottenute da HBO. Fra le serie ad aver ricevuto il maggior numero di nomination Il Trono di Spade, Westworld e The Handmaid’s Tale. Dalle’1.55 alle 05.00 la diretta televisiva sarà accompagnata dal commento audio di Filippo Solibello e Marco Ardemagni, storici conduttori di Caterpillar AM. Mentre su Rai Radio2 il live della cerimonia sarà ospitato all’interno della trasmissione “I Lunatici”, condotta da Roberto Arduini e Andrea Di Ciancio. Una sintesi della cerimonia dei 70esimi Emmy Awards è in programma su Rai4 martedì 18 settembre alle 18.30.
