TU ME RESSEMBLES (YOU RESEMBLE ME)
Dina Amer is a considered Egyptian journalist, Tu me ressembles is her first feature. She also wrote the movie with Omar Mullik that can boast Spike Lee and Spike Jonze as executive producers. Hasna is a French- Maghreby woman, the character is based on Hasna Aitboulahchenm who died during the police blitz Saint-Denis and cousin of Abaaoud, the man that is considered the mastermind of the Bataclan attacks in Paris in 2015. Dina Ameri starts from the dramatic events triggered by Islamic terrorism to tell a story of family, love, sisterhood and broken identity. When the chain between two sisters is broken, a little girl can turn in someone else in the name of affiliation and resistance.
