A poche ore dalle chiacchierate nomination degli Oscar, anche l’Académie des arts e techniques du cinéma, l’organizzazione cinematografica che assegna i più importanti riconoscimenti francesi, ha reso nota la lista dei candidati finali ai Premi César 2024, attesi il prossimo 23 febbraio a Parigi.
A guidare le nomination – con ben 12 candidature – è il thriller sci-fi d’avventura franco-belga The Animal Kingdom (Le règne animal), diretto da Thomas Cailley, che noi di Ciak abbiamo avuto modo di intervistare allo scorso Torino Film Festival (qui l’intervista), qualche mese dopo l’apertura di Un certain Regard a Cannes. Dietro di lui, con 11 nomination, il candidato all’Oscar Anatomia di una caduta (Anatomie d’une chute) di Justine Triet, seguito da All Your Faces (Je verrai toujours vos visages) di Jeanne Herry (9 candidature) e The Goldman Case (otto). César 2024
Resta ancora aperta la ferita della Francia per aver (inspiegabilmente?) deciso di non candidare Anatomia di una caduta nella sezione Miglior film internazionale agli Oscar, preferendo il più debole La Passion de Dodin Bouffant, passato solo nelle shortlist ma non in finale. Il film di Justine Triet, candidato comunque a 5 premi Oscar (tra cui miglior film), ha già vinto il Golden Globe 2024 come miglior film internazionale, 6 premi EFA e la Palma d’oro a Cannes. César 2024
Tre le nomination ai César 2024 segnaliamo con orgoglio quella di Rapito di Marco Bellocchio, candidato nella categoria miglior film straniero.
