Le nomination di quest’anno segnano lo storico sorpasso di Netflix: la piattaforma di streaming ha ottenuto 112 candidature rispetto alle 108 della rivale HBO. Il gigante Game of Thrones torna a contendersi la vittoria in molte categorie mentre Sandra Oh, protagonista di Killing Eve, ottiene un primato da ricordare. L’ex Cristina Yang di Grey’s Anatomy è la prima donna di origine asiatica ad essere candidata nella categoria di miglior attrice protagonista in una serie drammatica.
