Venice 80: Venice Film Festival audience grows

Venezia 80 has record figures after five days. There’s a +9% of sold tickets (35,496 overall). There are 6375 accreditations, with an increase of 17%. Total theatre admissions are 114851, an astonishing 18% more than last year’s edition. “We hope that the reasons behind the strikes currently taking place in the international entertainment world will be resolved as soon as possible and in the best possible way,” says the Venice Film Festival management, “and we hope that the positive response of the public at the Lido represents an act of respect and closeness towards the authors and the artists participating in the strike, and towards the Festival itself“.
